Excerpt from the Surrey County Council website:
The reasons why we use your personal data
This privacy notice applies to the functions of the Early Help Family Centre & Family Support Programme. Family Centres work with children aged 0 to 11 and their families, as support to prevent children becoming subject to statutory intervention.
The Family Support Programme works with families with children aged 5-18 that are most vulnerable, delivered in accordance with the National Troubled Families Programme and the Surrey Troubled Families Outcomes Plan.
In order to carry out this work, Surrey County Council and the service providers need to collect, record and store personal data about children, young people and families. This ensures that we can commission services needed in the right places to meet need and that delivery is appropriate.
For full details of the data collected and why it is used, please follow the link below:

As a Family Centre, we carefully monitor attendance at our groups and keep the details of families who attend in order to keep them informed about changes to our services. A record of who is on the premises at any time must be kept in line with our Safeguarding Policy. These details are collected on paper sign in sheets and through an online registration form. This information is retained for the necessary periods as required by data retention laws.
Data relating to attendance at groups is held securely in a data base that only Mole Valley Family Centre have access to and information will only be stored for the purposes of service monitoring and to meet our contract requirements for provision of data to Surrey County Council. Mole Valley Family Centre will not keep personal information in the data base once the youngest child in the family turns 12 years old.
